Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Manchester United for the first time since his dramatic comeback to Old Trafford.
On Tuesday, Ronaldo signed a two-year contract with Manchester United, with the option of an additional 12 months, completing one of the most significant transactions in Premier League history.
Juventus were the first to disclose the signing, confirming that the 36-year-£12.8 old’s million cost will be spread out over five years. That means his incredible comeback will only cost United £2.56 million up front.
Soon later, Manchester United made an official statement, with Ronaldo remarking, “Manchester United has always held a particular place in my heart, and I have been overwhelmed by all the messages I have received since the news on Friday.”
“I can’t wait to play in front of a packed stadium and see all the fans again at Old Trafford.” I’m excited to re-join the club after the international games, and I’m looking forward to a successful season ahead.”
Ronaldo is now in Portugal for a World Cup qualifier, but the first images of him in a Manchester United shirt have surfaced.
