Romelu Lukaku sends message to Chelsea FC fans ahead of Arsenal trip

As Chelsea FC prepares for their Premier League match against Arsenal on Sunday, Romelu Lukaku believes he is ready to play.

The south west London club began their Premier League campaign with a 3-0 home win over Crystal Palace over the weekend, and they will now focus on preparing for their match against their London rivals at The Emirates.

Romelu Lukaku has been settling back in at Chelsea FC after completing his high-profile transfer from Inter Milan earlier this month.

The Belgian striker missed the Blues’ Premier League opening at the weekend, but he could make the trip across London on Sunday afternoon to play for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

As the Blues prepare for their encounter with the Gunners, the 28-year-old has stated that he is ready to play.

Romelu Lukaku told Chelsea FC’s website: “I’m ready, so it’s just a matter of getting into the team and proving to the managers that if I’m needed, I can play.”

“To gain a starting berth, we all have to compete throughout the week. It will be a new fight for me, but we’re all battling for the same goal: to ensure Chelsea’s victory.

“To gain a starting berth, we all have to compete throughout the week. It will be a new fight for me, but we’re all battling for the same goal: to ensure Chelsea’s victory.

“I’ll make sure I give 100 percent every day in training and that I’m prepared for each game.

“I’m glad the first game is away against Arsenal, where we can hopefully prepare properly and have a good result.”

Chelsea FC has not won the Premier League title since 2017, finishing fourth last season while winning the Champions League.
