Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to transfer reports linking him with Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain with an impassioned statement.
The 36-year-old has spent the final three years of his career with Juventus, where he is widely regarded as one of the best players of all time.
Ronaldo, on the other hand, has been heavily linked with a move away from Turin this summer, with Real Madrid reportedly keen in bringing him back to the Bernabeu.
Man City of the Premier League and PSG of France, who recently bought Ronaldo’s long-time rival Lionel Messi, have been linked with a bid for the Portugal icon.

‘Anyone who knows me is aware of how dedicated I am on my work,’ Ronaldo stated in a lengthy and passionate statement in response to the speculation. Since the beginning of my work, my guiding philosophy has been “less talk, more action.”
‘However, in light of recent statements and writings, I feel compelled to state my viewpoint.’
‘More than disrespecting me as a man and a player, the frivolous way in which my future is covered in the media is disrespectful to all of the teams engaged in these reports, as well as their players and personnel.
‘At Real Madrid, my story has been written. It’s been documented. In numbers and words, trophies and titles, records and headlines. It’s on display at the Bernabeu Stadium Museum, and it’s on everyone’s mind who supports the club.
‘And, beyond what I accomplished, I recall having a deep affection and respect for “merengue afición” during those nine years, an affection and respect that I still have today and will always cherish.
‘I know that true Real Madrid fans will always have a place in their hearts for me, and I will always have a place in mine for them.’
‘In addition to this most recent occurrence in Spain, there has been constant news and tales linking me to a lot of clubs in a variety of Leagues, with no one ever bothering to investigate the facts.
‘I’m breaking my quiet now to declare that I can’t keep letting people play with my name.’
‘I remain committed and prepared for all of the challenges that I will experience in my career and at work. What about the rest of it? Everything else is merely rhetoric.’
Before spending nearly a decade at Real Madrid, Ronaldo helped Manchester United win three Premier League titles and the Champions League.
At the Bernabeu, the modern-day legend won four more Champions League championships and five Ballon d’Or accolades.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who helped Portugal win the Euros in 2016, has had more success at Juventus, where he has scored 101 goals in 133 appearances and twice won the Serie A title.
